The Kwara State Government, Sunday night announced a 24-members transition committee saddled with interfacing with the incoming administration in the state to ensure a smooth transition.
The committee will be inaugurated by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on Tuesday at the Government House, Ilorin.
The action of the government is coming just three days after the Governor-elect, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq inaugurated an 80-member Transition Committee (TC) to liaise with the outgoing administration and facilitate smooth transition on May 29, 2019.
According to a statement issued by the office of the Secretary to the State Government last night, the government TICs inauguration follows the completion of the administrationโs handover notes by a separate committee headed by Kwara State Head of Service (HoS), Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole and comprising cabinet members and other government officials.
The statement added that the government transition implementation committee is chaired by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Sola Isiaka Gold while Permanent Secretary Political, Cabinet and Special Services, Alhaji Tunde Shuaib Aremu will serve as the Secretary:
Other members of the committee according to the release include the HoS, Chief of Staff, Government House, Alhaji Wahab Yusuf, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), Commissioner for Finance, Nurudeen Demola Banu, his counterpart in the Ministry of Works and Transport, Alhaji Aro Yahaya, Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Balikis Oniyangi, Commissioner for Information and Communication, Alhaji Ishiak Mohammed Sabi, Commissioner for Energy, Alhaji Eleja Taiwo Banu and the Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Usman Kolo Rifun.
