It’s unislamic to attribute wealth, poverty to fellow being – cleric

By Ahmed Suleiman

An Islamic cleric Ustaz Ismael Ibrahim has admonished Muslims to have firm belief in Qadar (divine destiny) because it is an indispensable part of faith.
He also said it’s not Islamic to attribute whatever happens to us as the handiwork of somebody rather than Allah (SWT).
Ustaz Ismael gave this admonition during Friday Juma’at sermon at Sheik Abdullah bin Zaid Mosque, Olohunsogo, Ilorin.
He noted that Allah has predestined what is going to be everyone’s portion on earth in terms of wealth, achievement and time of death, hence Muslim should be patient and seek worldly gains with moderation.
The Islamic cleric who explained that no evil would befall a Muslim except with the knowledge of God charged believers to discard the belief that fellow being were behind their misfortune, adding that such creed was ungodly.
Ustaz Ismael also cautioned those who blame their poverty on Qadar without striving to work hard, maintaining that Allah (SWT) helps those who are willing to change their status.
