Former Kwara State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Engr Musa Ayinla Yeketi has been suspended by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, at Alapa/Onire/Ode Giwa Ward in Asa local government area of the state.
The suspension was announced in a statement issued and signed by the ward chairman,Mall. Saludeen Babatunde and the secretary, Mr. Saliman Abdulkabir.
According to the statement ,the suspension took effect from Thursday the 17th day of March, 2022 ,saying that it was in accordance with the section 57 (3) of the party’s 2017 constitution (as amended).
The embattled politician for sometimes now, has been at loggerheads with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara , with talks of defection to the All Progressives Congress still at the table.
Yeketi while speaking to National Pilot admitted to have met with the leader of the APC in Kwara, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq ,November last year, but declined to give details of their discussion but hinted that it wasn’t unconnected to his planned move to the APC.
