Bank Customers on Wednesday, expressed frustration over their inability to carry out transactions via the Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at the Sawmill branch of the First Bank, Ilorin, Kwara State.
It was observed by our reporter that only one of the six machines installed at the bank was functioning, making people to wait long hours on the queue before carrying out their transactions.
A customer who spoke to this medium said he had been on the queue since 8am and the only functioning machine started dispensing cash at about 9:17am.
A staff of the Customers Care Unit of the bank (names withheld) who spoke to our reporter on the development explained that the ATMs’ POS were faulty and engineers were trying to save the situation at the time.
The staff further explained that the machines could only dispense cash to customers of other banks.
The staff however pleaded with the customers to be patient as the issue would be resolved as soon as possible.
