NNL puts all League matches on hold

 

The Nigeria National League, NNL, organisers of the second tier domestic football league in Nigeria have placed the 2019 League season on hold.
This is following the need to allow it’s Clubs featuring in the round of 64 of the 2019 Aiteo Cup (Federation Cup), to properly participate.
Lawrence Katken, NNL Chief Operating Officer said the League will go on a two weeks break.
This also means that Match Day seven (7) earlier schedules this weekend will no longer hold, as new dates will be announced by the NNL.
The Aiteo round of 64 matches are billed to begin this weekend at designated centres in the country.
NNL, has fourteen (14) of it’s clubs taking part in the 64 teams round.
Katken enjoined the NNL clubs to avoid acts capable of bringing the beautiful game to disrepute.
“Our teams we trust to do us proud, they should ensure they win and decently too, we do not expect them to play by   the rule”.
“This is wishing all our teams the best of luck in the Aiteo Cup, Lawrence concluded.
