Be mindful of your conduct after holy month, Muslims warned

Muslims have been reminded of the need to always exhibit positive dispositions, even after the conclusion of the ongoing Ramadan fast.
The appeal was made on Sunday by an Ilorin-based Islamic scholar, Ustaz AbdulRasheed Musa Alfanla, while presenting a lecture at this year’s Ramadan lecture of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU).
Ustaz Alfanla, whose presentation was entitled “What next after Ramadan” pointed out that apart from eating, drinking and legitimate sexual intercourse forbidden in the day time during Ramadan, every other conduct frowned at during Ramadan must also be done away with after the glorious month.
The scholar likened Ramadan to a training course, which participants must reflect in their subsequent official engagements and enjoined Muslims to continue to exhibit good traits inculcated in them by the sacred month.
He advised the incoming Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq to priotise the timely and regular payment of workers’ salaries, among other promises made to the people prior to his election.
Speaking earlier, the chairman of the branch, Dr Tajudeen Ishola, congratulated Muslims on the spiritual progress attained during the Ramadan and urged them to always remember the lessons derived during the month.
The event, which was presided over by a director in the Kwara State public service, Mallam Kale Yusuf Ikokoro, was graced by many dignitaries from within and outside Ilorin.
