Officials of agencies and parastatals under the Kwara State Ministry of Housing and Urban Development have been charged to be alive to their responsibilities in order to ensure development of the state.
The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Surajudeen Akanbi stated this on Tuesday after his familiarisation tour to the agencies and parastatals under the ministry.
Akanbi noted that the present administration is fully aware of the challenges confronting civil servants in the state in terms of office accommodation.
He said that the state government has commenced construction of a massive secretariat to accommodate more civil servants, to ease accommodation problems.
The Commissioner however urged the staff to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, loyalty and honesty.
The office visited by the commissioner include, the office of Surveyor General, Town Planning and Development Authority and Housing Corporation.
