Revealed! Ex-Nasarawa gov, Sen Adamu Abdullahi behind plot to remove Saraki

The plot to remove Senate President and Chairman of the National Assembly, Dr Bukola Saraki appears to be thickening and gathering momentum.
But will it succeed?
That question has continued to agitate the minds of Saraki’s loyalists, his aides and party supporters and executives both at the national level and in Kwara.
However nobody seemed keen to speak about the issue among the Senate President’s camp, last night, except a fellow senator.
According to the Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Malaye, the former governor of Nasarawa State representing Nasarawa West in the upper chamber, Abdullahi Adamu is the arrowhead behind Saraki’s removal plot.
Melaye however described Abdullahi “a joker.”
This is the second time in less than a month that the plot to remove Saraki will dominate the polity after Bauchi Senator Isah Misau raised the alarm at the floor of the senate early January.
Misau had accused a serving minister in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari of being behind the plot.
The party’s national leadership is however yet to make any comment on the issue since the accusation by Melaye, last week.
In a tweet, weekend through his official handle, the Kogi Senator and a staunch Saraki loyalist allayed fears over the plot.
He said 98 senators are behind the Senate President and unwavering in their support for him.
Melaye further accused Adamu of riding on the influence and support of Saraki to get off the hook of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and wants to repeat same now that his son is facing the anti graft agency’s prosecution.
“The Nasarawa Senator plotting Saraki’s removal is a joker. No shaking. He used Saraki’s name to get off EFCC before, now his son again has been arraigned by EFCC, he wants to play the same card. Agbaya! We dey wait. 98 senators are unwavering on Saraki”, Melaye tweeted.
The accusation of Melaye is coming on the heels of “uncertainty” that had pervaded the camp of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as political activities peaked for 2019.
Several calls to Saraki’s media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu and the Chairman of the APC in the state, Hon Ishola Balogun Fulani, last night, were not answered on comment over the removal plot.
Olniyonu had recently kept mum over the issue in reply to a text message adding “no comment”.
Recall that Misau on the floor of the senate while contributing to a motion sponsored by the senator representing Taraba South, Shuaibu Lau, on herdsmen attacks in his state said a serving minister was the arrowhead of the plot which was orchestrated during the period of the recess.
He however did not reveal the identity of the minister.
The Bauchi Senator said the purported move to remove Saraki came about as a result of the rumour that he was planning to defect from the ruling APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
