The day I cannot forget was the day I was to lead a witness, and I was to tender a document through the witness. I had two copies of the document, one had been certified and the other did not meet the requirements of the law.
Unfortunately for me, out of overzealousness , I mistakenly tendered the one that has not met the requirements of the law which was rejected by the court as a result of that mistake . Though luckily for me, I was able to manoeuver my way through that case, the Judge was furious and angrily rejected the document. I had to go through a long path to arrive at a short destination. I was really bitterred that I found it difficult to forgive myself for a very long time. I thought I was on top of my case but the mistake took me off balance.
