Men of the Kwara State Police Command have arrested one Sulaiman Babatunde for being a member of a secret confraternity in Ilorin, penultimate Wednesday.
The suspect, said to be a drug addict, and his accomplices were said to have caused public disturbance at Oja-Oba area, on the fateful day.
According to police source, the case was reported at the Oja-Oba ‘C’ Divisional Police Station.
” The suspect led his accomplices to disturb the peace of Oja-Oba area by causing mayhem. The police on getting the report went to the scene of the incident, which led to arrest of the suspect while others ran away.
“The case was later transfered to the State Criminal Intelligence and Detective Investigation. In the course of interrogation, the suspect revealed identities of his accomplices.
” He confessed to be a cultist and hard drug addict. Also axes were recovered from him. The suspect is aiding the police in their investigation into the matter,” the source added.
