NULGE tasks Gov Abdulrazaq on masses oriented programmes
By Matthew Denis
The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Kwara State branch has called on Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to implement masses oriented programmes that will cut across the 16 Local Government Areas in the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the state Secretary of the union, Comrade Hotonu Oyedele Rafiu and made available to this medium at the weekend.
The statement reads, “NULGE which is the voice of all local government workers is not dissident but partners in progress to every listening and God fearing government that comes into existence.
“While the union was monitoring the governor’s campaign train early this year to local government areas across the state, we saw the trait of altruistic, fair minded and proactiveness he’s endowed with.
“At present, the state government symbolises ‘Change’ therefore NULGE is willing and ready to work with the administration to put the change mantra in various councils. We’re ready to discuss with the Governor on aspects that concern the workers to unlock the hidden potentials embedded in the councils.
“We advice the Governor to take a keen look at the antecedent of the past governments and take a giant step to use the available resources in his control to put a smile on residents of the state who voted massively for him.
“We also urge the Governor to make Kwarans and his party proud through the creation of masses oriented programmes and this can be achieved if he injects the right personalities in his cabinet.”
NULGE stressed that it is non political body but a prospective union that is ever ready to support the current administration for the betterment of Kwara.
