COZA: Kemi Afolabi exposes Nollywood Director who allegedly tried to rape her
Still on the COZA scandal, Nollywood celebrities have joined the trend using it as a platform to share their traumatic and near r#pe experiences on social media. One of them who just gave us more insight into how she almost became a victim is Yoruba actress, Kemi Afolabi.
According to her, the Nollywood actor and director identified as Olaide Olabanji aka Loko, tried to force himself on her when he invited her for a movie role back in the days.
Remember the actress once promised to expose a certain Nollywood actor who takes advantage of upcoming actress in the industry. This is in reaction to the recent saga which involves the rape allegation levelled against pastor Fatoyinbo by Busola Dakolo wife of popular singer, Timi Dakolo.
The actress took to YouTube to share her rape experience. She claimed that Loko tried to touch her but she refused. However, he threatened her but luckily for her, she escaped. She went on to rain curses on him.
In his reaction, Loko described the actress as a “dead dog who has destroyed many men”. He also took a swipe at actress Wumi Toriola for allegedly abandoning her mother and leaving her to suffer.
He revealed that he has been in the entertainment industry for 30 years with no scandal and he hasn’t seen Kemi Afolabi for over 17 years.
It did not end there as he also told Wumi Toriola to stop using drug and also apologise to her mother, over the alleged inhumane treatment she meted out to her.

“I had earlier asked him to teach me dancing, which he obliged me, after several interactions he finally asked me to come meet him somewhere so we could begin practice, I was excited and I went, on reaching there, he said the room belonged to his sister that she permitted him to teach me there, I was thrilled.
“After rehearsals, I thanked and bade him goodbye, when I got to d exit I noticed the door was locked and the key was removed, I turned to ask him why he had locked and remove d key, when I looked at him, his face had changed into something else, it was as if a demon had entered him, that was the scariest look I’ve ever seen, there he was, standing with a small knife, he asked me to take off my clothes else he could kill me and lock me in and no one would know where I am, he was right, cos I didn’t tell anyone who he was, so I started crying and begging him but it made him more aggressive, I finally took off my clothes.
“He had his way and came inside me, wen he finished he took me to a pharmacy that was on the opposite side of the road, bought postinor 2 and water and made sure I took it in front of him, then he left.”

It appears the controversy surrounding Busola Dakolo and Biodun Fatoyinbo has encouraged many people who were victims of such crime to speak out about their own personal experience and joining this list is TY Bello.
The celebrity photographer and singer recently revealed she was molested at the tender age of eight.
In the lengthy Instagram post, she revealed that she only spoke out about it 30 years after it happened. She went on to reveal how the challenges and resistance she had to face when she shared her story and how she began to feel ashamed. Going further, she advised that children should be taught the power of their voice.
