…visits NUJ Kwara Council
The Kwara State Council of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria SWAN has again reaffirmed its readiness to Sustain and improve on the annual Media Games of the Association by rebranding it to attract Sponsors and Partnership.
This was the submissions of the Chairman of the Association , Mr Jimoh Bashir when he led the newly executives of the Council on a visit to the Pen House of the Kwara NUJ as Part of the familiarisation to the major Stakeholders in the State.
Mr. Jimoh Bashir who applauded the Support and Solidarity of the NUJ under Comrade Umar Abdulwahab in the last Swan election informed the Council that his administration will work towards strengthen the Union by accommodating more Members through Nuj Chapel affiliates to reduce quarks in the Profession .
In his remark, the Chairman of NUJ in the State ,Comrade Umar Abdulwahab assured Swan leadership of the Support of nuj in achieving their programmes and Policies, stressing that the media games of the Association has improved the wellbeing of its members by Physically and mentally fit in discharging their tasking official Assignments.
He Implored them not to derail from their lined up programmes rather should focus on how to achieve the Completion of their Secretariat before the expiation of their tenure .
Meanwhile, official letter to the appointed members of the education and ethics Committees earlier announced last week will be presented on Friday .

To Organise Periodic Seminar and Workshop for Members
To Identify Areas of Improvement of Members in sports Reportage .
To Keep executives and Members of the Association informed of the New rules in Various Sport, While terms of reference for Ethics and Disciplinary Committee’s are
To ensure that Members Conduct Comply with the ethics of the job
To Investigate and recommend Punishments for erring Members that violate the rules of the Association.
To handle Petitions that May Come up against any Members .
