Kinsmen of former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki under the aegis of Agbaji Development Association (ADA) and Elders Forum organised special prayers for the former Kwara State governor on Saturday.
It was the second time that the people of Agbaji, the ancestral home of the ex- senate president would converge to offer prayers on his behalf.
They appreciated God for the successful tenure of Saraki and his achievements while in office.
They also prayed for more laudable feats in the near future for the politician.
The prayer was led by the Imam Agba of  Agbaji, Alhaji Aminulahi Tantolorun and Imam of Maraba, Imam Mustapha Oloka.
In his remarks at the event, President of ADA, Alhaji Lanre Yusuf, commended Saraki for his numerous contributions to national development.
He saluted the ex-senate president for being a good ambassador of Agbaji and Kwara State in general and for impacting positively on the political landscape of the country.
Yusuf acknowledged the numerous projects, progammes and policies initiated and facilitated by Saraki, which contributed to the socio-economic development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large.
In his remarks, Imam Oloka prayed that God should further elevate Saraki, as he has impacted the life of not only his kinsmen but Kwarans in general.
“In any position you are, you should remember your family members and anybody that needs your help because no position is permanent.
“Dr Abubakir Bukola Saraki has done his  best  for us here during his tenure at the Senate by giving some people political appointments, state appointments or local appointments, but people around him  didn’t let others know about it.”
