Nigeria goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was voted man in Kaizer Chiefsโ 1-0 win against Baroka FC in their Absa Premiership clash at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on Saturday night.
Akpeyi replaced injured Bafana Bafana of South Africa goalie, Itumeleng Khune on 26 minutes.
The 33-year-old announced his arrival in fine style two minutes later with a point-blank save from Richard Mbuluโs diving header.
Akpeyi was forced into a couple saves from point blank range, but the former Warri Wolvesย shot-stopper werenโt troubled handling situation effectively instead.
The game was his fifth league appearance for Ernst Middendorpโs men this season.
Lebogang Manyamaโs first half strike was enough to hand Kaizer Chiefs all three points in the game.
