2019 Africa U-23 Cup Of Nations: Kwara Utd congratulates Agboola, Ijeh on invitation
Kwara United General Manager Badawiy Bashir is proud of Joshua Agboola and Ijeh Elijah after the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) extended invitation to the two players to the camp of the Olympic Eagles ahead of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.
The invited players are forward Joshua Agboola and central defender Ijeh Elijah.
The duo were invited to the team based on their excellent displays at the Ahlan Cup Pre Season Tournament in Kano.
According to a statement signed by Egbaiyelo Tayo on behalf of the NFF General Secretary, Dr. Sanusi Muhammad, the players are directed to report at the Serob Legacy Hotel Wuse, Abuja on Wednesday 16th October, 2019.
The statement said the players have been invited to the camp in preparation 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations.
General Manager of Kwara United, Badawiy Bashir congratulated the players and urged them to be good ambassadors of the club while on national duty.
“Congratulations to Joshua Agboola and Ijeh Elijah on their invitation to the Olympic Eagles ahead of the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations,” Badawiy Bashir told Futbalgalore.com.
“Well done boys. Keep it up, it’s just the beginning. This shows that the Kumbi Titiloye led board is doing something right.
“My candid advice to the lads is for them to be good ambassadors of the club while on national duty,” the former Rivers United Coordinator concluded.
The 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations will be the third edition of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international age-restricted football championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the men’s under-23 national teams of Africa.
The tournament will determine which three African teams will compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics men’s football tournament in Japan.
