At least two persons were killed in multiple accidents on the Otedola
bridge section of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Wednesday morning.
A truck and several cars were involved in the accident, according to
the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA),
The accident compounded traffic on the ever-busy expressway and adjoining roads.
Motorists heading towards Berger were affected while the return
journey from Berger to Ojota was also slow.
In a series of tweets, LASTMA advised motorists to take alternative
routes to their destinations while emergency officials rescued the
victims.
There have been different accidents on the bridge, this year alone.
Last month, a diesel-laden tanker fell on the bridge, spilling its
content.
