Prepare for hereafter, cleric advises Muslims

By Ahmed Ajikobi

The Imam, Olohundare Mosque situated at Offa Garage area, Ilorin,
Ustaz Lookman Yusuf  has urged Muslims to always prepare themselves
for the day of judgement.  He added that any deed in life will be
accounted for.
He further said that Muslims should engaged in good deeds and shun bad
deeds to escape the wrath of Allah.
Yusuf stated this at the Jummaat service on friday in his sermon
(khutuba) before the two traditional rakats.
He explained that, every Muslim’s deeds will determine their judgement.
“Some will end up their lives at beer parlour, hotel, in the club,
listening  to bad songs, Azikiri, observing Solat among others and
this will determine their judgement on the day of Qiyaoma.”
“On the day of judgement people will be in dilemma waiting for their
fate. They will be running helter-sketer to prophets of Allah to seek
for help. “None of them will be able to render help as they can’t face
the anger of Allah. If Allah gives them opportunity they can only help
themselves. Only prophet Muhammed (S.A.W.) can help Muslims on that
day.”
The Imam further stated that death is compulsory to all  but when,
where, how and  what kind of deeds are we going to be caught engaging
in when time comes?
“ Emulate the good deeds of Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W) to be rewarded by Allah. “
