CITN advocate financial autonomy for revenue agencies
The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, (CITN) has advocated
financial autonomy for revenue generation agencies for optimal
performance.
The CITN National President, Dame Gladys Simplice stated this when she

for what she described as pragmatic and leadership by example
especially for massive appointment given to women folk in his cabinet.
She therefore, solicited for the partnership and collaboration of CITN
with the government for collective benefits, stressing that the
lnstitute has capacity to train tax collectors across the length and
breadth of Africa.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor pledged the state government
continued support to tax industry to improve internally generated
revenue for the state.
Alabi gave an assurance that the present government would allocate a
land to the CITN in Ilorin metropolis, the state capital for the
construction of the Institute’s Academy.

government, adding that such would be used to improve the state and
