Leicester vs Man Utd: Can Red Devils step up?

Manchester United will travel to Leicester City to find their rhythm back in the Premier League. The Red Devils are currently winless in the last two matches and need to step up the gear as they have looked clueless in the last few matches.
Leicester on the other side have managed just two wins so far as Brendan Rodgers’ side have failed to repeat their last season’s heroics so far in this season.
One point in the last three matches has forced the Foxes to rethink their strategy as they haplessly surrendered to a spirited Crystal Palace side in the last match.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy were on target as Leicester took control of the game in the first half. But Palace came with full force in the second half as goals from Michael Olise and Jeffrey Schlupp saw the home side collecting a vital point against Leicester.
United too went ahead riding on an Anthony Martial blinder. But the hosts were caught napping as a fast Everton counterattack dashed their hopes with Andros Townsend slotting the ball past David De Gea.
With the international break starting both teams could use this opportunity to freshen up the squad. United have assembled a squad worthy of being champions but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has failed to chalk out the right combination.
Their inability to bring in a midfielder could have a big effect on their long term ambition as the midfield duo of Fred and Scott McTominay is simply not working.
Fred was against at fault as he couldn’t stop the ever running Demarai Gray who passed him easily and laid the ball to Townsend who just had to finish it calmly.
Donny van de Beek has hardly been used and the Dutch midfielder has already been linked with a move in the January transfer window.
Leicester brought in Jannik Vestergaard as Wesley Fofana was sidelined for a lengthy period and Jonny Evans is yet to regain his match fitness.
Defensive vulnerabilities have been the main issue for Rodgers and he admitted his side needs to get that stability in the backline.
Both the team will be aiming for an outright win and it will be interesting to see how both the managers opt to use their squad.
Despite their struggles, this season Solskjaer has a pretty envious squad at his disposal and the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes can combine dangerously against the Leicester defence.
The Foxes will be banking on the 34 year old Jamie Vardy who has renewed himself this season. The Leicester veteran has found the net on six occasions and the United defence needs to be at their best to thwart the challenge of the Leicester frontman.
