JKF Cup: Zenith Bank strengthens partnership to uplift morals in youths

The organizers of the JKF Youth Cup, a football competition for U15
boys and girls have reiterated the desire to uplift the moral level of
youth in Ekiti State through football and to a larger extent, create a
platform for them to be financially prudent.
Speaking after a meeting with the manager, Ado- Ekiti branch of one of
the partners of the competition, Zenith Bank PLC, whence it had gone
to collect the Zenith Bank Children’s Account (ZECA) application forms
for the kids who would participate in the competition, Ekiti State FA
Chairman Bayo Olanlege, expressed delight over the meeting with the
officials of the bank, which he described as rewarding and historic.
The agreement with the foremost banking institution would provide the
football playing kids with the opportunities to open a child account
(ZECA).
Chairman of the organizing committee, Kolawole Owoseni, remarked that
the competition is to develop a generation of gifted, educated and
prudent footballers. Our partnership with Zenith Bank PLC is historic.
As prize money shall be paid into their various accounts as teamโs
progresses in the competition.
In her remarks, the Zenith Bank PLC, Ado- Ekiti branch manager, Mrs.
Tinuola Anifowose, stated that the bank is glad to go into partnership
agreement with the organizers of the competition. Adding that beyond
discovering and nurturing the kids to stardom, it would also make them
financially disciplined.
” We are glad with this partnership. And I can tell you that we shall
support the organizers to ensure that the objectives of the
competition is achieved, ” Mrs Anifowoshe said.
Meanwhile, 400 boys and 200 girls would be taking part in the
competition, and with 96 officials drawn from the 16 local football
councils in Ekiti State.
