Maintain bonds with constituents, Kwara Speaker charges federal lawmakers

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Hon Yakubu Danladi has admonished the federal lawmakers from Kwara State to maintain strong bonds with their constituents.
The Speaker made the observation while receiving the Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial district at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Yahaya Ibrahim Oloriegbe, in his office recently.
He expressed happiness over the unity among the three senators from the state adding that there is maximum cooperation between the 24 members of the 9th Kwara Assembly.
He said: “I want to implore our senators and House of Representative members to maintain bonds with their constituents in order to chart a new cause for the state.
Danladi noted that the 9th Kwara Assembly to maintain harmonious relationship among State and federal legislators from Kwara state in the best interest of Kwarans.
“As a State Assembly, we have decided to be having a joint meeting of state and federal legislators at interval, in Ilorin and Abuja on a rotational basis to enable us synergize and have goal congruence”, he noted.
Senator Ibrahim Oloriegbe said his coming was to pay the Speaker and members of the 9th Kwara state House of Assembly a congratulatory visit and remind them on the high expectation of Kwarans.
Oloriegbe said “I left here 16 years ago as Majority Leader, and fortunately, today, we have no minority. This is an unusual moment in the history of Kwara state …we are all leaders and collectively responsible for whatever happens”.
“As direct beneficiaries of the struggle, we must give our best in serving Kwarans. Without cooperation and acting in unison, Kwara liberation will not last. We must be ready to work together, sacrifice for the State and see beyond personal aggrandizement”, Oloriegbe said.
