NGO holds maiden language devt seminar in Kwara

 

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) – Conference of Authochtonous
Ethnic  Community Development Association (CONAECDA) has concluded
plans to hold the maiden edition of indigenous language development
seminar.
The language development and promotion seminar is aimed at preventing
various indigenous languages from going into extinction in tandem with
various international protocols like the UNESCO.
In a press statement by the Media Officer to the organization, Michael
Olanrewaju made available to newsmen in Ilorin, the seminar will take
place at ECWA Chapel Auditorium, Ahmadu Bello way, Ilorin.
The organisation which has community development as its key motive
would be addressed by Mike Rueck as the key note speaker.
A team of versatile experts in different fields of human endeavours
from the National headquarters of the organisation, Jo’s, Plateau
State,, Nigeria are expected to inaugurate the Kwara State Language
Council and address the participants on various aspects which may
require some clarifications
Eminent monarchs, media gurus, community development association
leaders, linguists, promoters of cultures are expected to grace and
participate in the three day programmes.
The NGO which is tactically working towards checking and reducing
rural- urban migration of our teaming youths and women would also
unveil other organs such as Food and Agricultural committee, women
committee, youth, security committee and others.
