Wailing, yelling as court worker, typist remanded in prison

It was a dramatic yet pathetic scene in court on Tuesday 31st of August, when the families and friends of two suspects accused of forgery, lament in tears as the magistrate ordered the remand of the accused.
A magistrate court sitting in Ilorin has ordered the remand of the duo, Aremu Christiana, a typist and Saka Wasiu, a judiciary staff at the correctional facility.
According to the First Information Report obtained by National Pilot, the accused were charged with offences bordering on Criminal Conspiracy and Forgery, which is in contrary to Section 97 And 364 of Penal Code.
There have been some revelations and reports of abuse of legal documents by notorious syndicate working around the High Court premises, llorin and working in conjunction with some staffers of the Kwara State Judiciary.
The duo of Aremu Christiana and Saka Wasiu were said to be arrested on 25th of August 2021, with possession of incriminating documents bearing the forged signature impression of one Mrs Shiru , an authentic Commissioner for Oath of the state Judiciary.
Further investigation by the security forces also led to the recovery of some stamp pads being used in perpetrating the act by the Suspects and their cohorts who are still at large, while effort is still ongoing to apprehend their cohorts.
Magistrate Muhammad Ibrahim, who presided over the matter in his ruling, declared that the suspects be remanded till next sitting date.
He however adjourned the matter till 22nd of September 2021 for further mention.
