A Kwara-based Civil Society Organisation, Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), last night has said all ongoing zonal projects in the state were facilitated by the outgone National Assembly members.
ENetSuD, famous with the hashtag “Follow Kwara Money” made the clarification in a statement on Sunday in Ilorin.
The reaction was coming against the backdrop of action of some of the contractors handling the project erroneously attributing it to the 9th National Assembly members in the state.
Titled “Clarification on 2019 Project facilitator”, ENetSuD said one of the “The project located in Patigi LGA and captured in a signpost was a 2019 Zonal Intervention Project (ZIP), also called Constituency project, with code 2019ZIP1899.
It said the budget sum was N50m as captured in the 2019 budget of Federal Government and execute by Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority.
“We wish to correct the wrong impression that it was facilitated by Hon Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene presently representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency in the 9th National Assembly (NASS).
“The project was actually facilitated by Hon Aliu Bahago Ahman-Patigi before the expiration of his tenure in the 8th NASS.
“We also wish to add that all 2019 ZIPs were facilitated by the outgone 8th NASS members, not the current 9th NASS members.
“The projects facilitated by the current 9th NASS members will start in 2020 budget, which was recently signed by President Muhammad Buhari and execution of 2020 budget has never commenced.
The contractor is urged to correct the error in the project sign post so as not to misinform the general public, especially the members of Patigi Community”, the statement added.
