Griezmann: I know where I’ll play next season
Antoine Griezmann isn’t giving much away about where he’ll be playing next season, but admits he knows where it will be. The forward is expected to make the move to Barcelona, but has only ruled out one, highly unlikely, landing spot. “I know where I’ll be playing next season,” he told Telematin. “I can only say that it will not be Miami.”
Man Utd wants Bale loan
Manchester United have made a loan offer for Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale.
The Red Devils are widely reported to be interested in bring in the Welshman to Old Trafford, but are unwilling to pay the huge transfer fee and wages required to secure his signature. Therefore, according to the Mirror, United are prepared to take Bale on loan for the 2019-20 season, with the possibility of extending it by another year. If concluded, such a deal would also free up some addition cash for Real to make signings this window.
Arsenal not planning Cech replacement
Arsenal will not buy a new second-choice goalkeeper as they cannot afford to, claim the Express. It is believed the Gunners have limited resources to spend on transfer targets this summer and have prioritised outfield improvements ahead of replacing Petr Cech. As a result, Emiliano Martinez is expected to fill the void created by the former Chelsea stopper’s retirement.
Umtiti: I will remain in Barcelona next season
Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has distanced himself from rumours he could leave the Spanish champions this summer. โI have a contract, I feel happy in Barcelona,โ said the 25 year-old. โI had a complicated season but that’s not a reason to have desires elsewhere. I will be in Barcelona next season.โ
Tottenham readies Sessegnon bid
Tottenham will make a bid for Fulhamwinger Ryan Sessegnon later this summer, according to football.london. Spurs have been long-term admirers of the youngster, and with Sessegnon having just a year left on his current deal and Fulham’s recent relegation to the Championship, the Tottenham hierarchy believe now is the perfect time to make a bid for the midfielder. The north London club will however, wait until Sessegnon’s involvement with England at the European under-21 Championships has concluded before making a formal bid. Manchester United, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested in the 19-year-old, but Sessegnon is believed to be keen on a move to Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham.

Aston Villa, Sheffield United, Fulham and Derby are all interested in signing Todd Kane, as per Football Insider. The defender is a free agent after being released by Chelsea this summer and has drawn interest from clubs in the Premier League and Championship.
Palace, Bournemouth put off Butland price
The Sun claim Stoke City are demanding ยฃ23million ($29m) to allow goalkeeper Jack Butland to leave the club this summer. Both Bournemouth and Crystal Palaceare supposedly keen on signing the England stopper, but are being put off by the Championship club’s valuation of the player. It is also reported that former club Birmingham City are entitled to 20% of any fee generated by Butland’s departure.
Arsenal hope to scupper Veretout’s Napoli move
Arsenal want to sign Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout from under the noses of Napoli. The Serie A side looked set to land the former Aston Villa man, but reports in L’Equipe claim the Gunners have placed a late bid for Vertout. It is unclear how much the 26-year-old would cost, but given Arsenal’s limited transfer resources it is believed that a relatively low fee could lure Vertout to the Emirates.
Jorginho unsure of Sarri future
Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has admitted he does not know if manager Maurizio Sarri will be at Stamford Bridge next season. โI don’t know, we’ll see what he chooses,โ the 27 year-old said following Italy’s 3-0 victory over Greece on Saturday. โI have no idea what he’ll do, to be honest, as I am focused on Italy right now.
Beckham keen to lure Valencia to Miami
England icon David Beckham has set his sights on signing former Manchester United full-back Antonio Valencia for his MLS side Inter Miami, according to The Sun. The 33-year-old has stated he would like to play on for a further “two or three” years, and was one of 15 players released by United last week.
Mourinho ready for Newcastle call
Former Manchester United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is willing to open talks with Newcastle’s potential new owner about becoming the club’s new manager.ย Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan has bid ยฃ350m for the Magpies, and if the sale of the club goes through, Mourinho is thought to be keen on replacing Rafa Benitez at St. James’ Park, according to The Mirror.
