Nigerian goal machine begins training with new Belgium club

 

Nigerian goal machine Terem Moffi begins training with his new Belgium Jupiler Pro League club KV Kortrijk.
The 20-year-old former Golden Eaglets striker moves to Guldensporen Stadion three and a half year contract after a stellar performance with Lithuanian first division side FK Riteriai, where he rejected a number offers and interests from France, Israel, Slovakia, and Norway.
Moffi chose to wear the number 20 jersey in remembrance of the 20 league goals he scored in the just concluded Lithuanian A-League from 28 league games as his club FK Riteriai finished third to qualify for the UEFA Europa League.
He had his first training with his new club teammate alongside his fellow compatriots Abduljaleel Ajagun was the first to join the modest KV Kortrijk and has returned to the Belgian side after a loan spell in Cyprus.
The other Nigerian at Guldensporen Stadion, Imoh Ezekiel, joined up last summer as a free agent after previously featured for Anderlecht and Standard Liege.
Moffi was subsequently won the clubโ€™ MVP of the Year, top scorer and Goal of the Season awards and was on official League Team of the Week nine times and Player of the Month twice.
