The Imam of Sultanate Central mosque, Adewole, Ilorin, Ustaz Sultanat Kamaldeen has advised Muslim to do away with the habit of underrating any sins before Allah for them not to be disappointed on the Day of Judgment.
The Cleric disclosed this recently during his Khutbah at the Juma’at service adding it is better to try as much as possible to move away from act that can lead to sin that to be involved in it without intention of genuine repentance.
According to him, Muslims should always follow the part of Almighty Allah and do way with any act of sins that can jeopardize their hereafter and lead them to fire hellfire.
He said “Allah (SWT) has stated that He has the power to punish anybody that goes against his ways or violate the rules and regulations of Islam”. We must underrate any sins matter how minute of big.
He therefore advised the Muslims to shun any unlawful act and strive to observe the five daily prayers at the right time.
However, Muslims nowadays, he noted, have allowed worldly activities to take them away from their Solats adding that “some Muslims now find it difficult to pray or even go to the mosques. That nonchalant attitude to Solat alone is a sin that Almighty will not overlook for us”.
He also warned the Muslims youth to do away with alcoholic substances noting that it is a prohibited drink that Almighty Allah warned Muslims not to go near.
“The youth of today engaged themselves in the alcohol and hard drugs that can lead to destruction. They are now involved in smoking and inhaling of hard drugs such as cough syrup and codeine among others that can lead to their destruction. Some in the process have lost their lives to the act which is a big sin in the sight of Almighty Allah.
“Anybody that is involved in any sinful act and then die in the process or committed suicide will be punished.’’
