College matriculates 2000 students
The Provost, Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa has admonished the new students of the institution to be of good conduct and worthy ambassadors of the school.
He said this during the matriculation ceremony of over 2000 new students at its 21st matriculation ceremony held last week.
Represented by the Deputy Provost (Admin), Alhaji Nda Aliyu, he said “Matriculation ceremony is to co-opt new students into the rules and regulations governing the conduct of students in Kwara State College of Technology, Offa as contained in the students hand book.
“The mission of the college is to train the middle-level manpower in different programmes and cadres to render health assistance at different levels of the health sector”.
In another development, the college held its maiden oath taking and orientation ceremony of the 45 newly qualified opticians in a ceremony supervised by the Registrar/CEO Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria, (ODORBIN), Abuja, Prof. Ebele Uzodike.
The registrar commended the management of the college and the newly inducted students for keeping an abiding faith for resounding success of the department of Dispensing Opticians by producing forty five (45) hardworking students at a go.
“This is an unbeatable record of excellence in the entire North Central Zone of the country, I urge Kwara State Government, the college management and stakeholders to endeavour to provide equipments, facilities and human resources for the department to continue to succeed ”, he emphasised.
The ceremony was well attended by parents, guardians, relatives and the representatives of Olofa of Offa.
