Another Kwara Poly student dies in mysterious circumstance

Less than a week after the death of a student of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, another student of the institution has been reportedly killed in another mysterious circumstance, National Pilot learnt last night.

The deceased, Olanrewaju Oluwasheun is of the Department Business Administration.

The latest incident, it was gathered, occurred around Tanke area after the deceased reportedly went out with some of his friends in the company of his girl friend.

A source who was privy to the issue said that girl who had earlier left their company returned to find his late lover gasping for breath surrounded by his friends.

He was reportedly rushed to Gari Alimi Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was gathered that the doctor that attended to them at the hospital subsequently detained all of them and later called the police.

“The doctor on duty wondered why they have to bring the deceased to Gari Alimi from Tanke in an emergency case leaving behind several hospitals”, the source added.

The case has reportedly been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

During interrogation, the suspects reportedly told the police that they were all involved in the use of a form of hard drug popularly referred to a scushi that led to his death.

But it was not clear why the deceased was the only one affected by the substance among all of them, a puzzle the police is trying to unravel.

Calls to the PRO of Kwara State Polytechnic late last night, Mallam Yunus AbdulKadir were not answered for reaction over the incident.
