COVID-19: Third Estate urges govt to provide safety Kits, palliatives for Kwarans

A social cultural Group of professionals who are indigenes of the Ilorin emirate in Kwara State, the Third-Estate, has urged the three tiers of government to provide safety kits and palliatives to the citizens to curb further outbreak and spread of coronavirus.
The president of the association, Mallam Ahmed Bolaji-Nagode made the call in a statement in llorin, the Kwara capital on Monday while reacting to the spread of corona virus in some parts of the country.
According to Bolaji-Nagode, the provision of safety kits and other preventive items would in no small measure minimise or curb further outbreak and spread of the disease.
The statement noted that it has become imperative to provide safety kits since It is now public knowledge that there is currently no vaccine to prevent corona virus disease in Nigeria
The association similarly called on the three ties of government, well meaning individuals and organisations to provide palliatives for Nigerians to cater for economic loses currently being experience.
Bolaji-Nagode praised the foresight of Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari in combating the outbreak and spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the State.
The group called on the people of the state to continue to take all necessary precautionary and preventive measures against the outbreak and spread of Coronavirus in all parts of the state
The statement further advised residents of the state to continue protect themselves and help prevent spreading the virus to others
Bolaji-Nagode recommended the covering of nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow when we cough or sneeze.
“We should avoid close contact with people who are not well and heed the advice to stay at home and self-isolate from others”, the statement warned.
