
Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze, comedian, Ali Baba, Efe Omoregbe, who is the manager of singer, 2Face and other celebrities, have just bagged a federal appointment.
They were named members of a committee set up by the Federal Government onWednesday, to advise it on the best way to manage the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the creative industry.
Announcing their appointment, Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, during a meeting with the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria, BON, pointed out that the committee will be expected to assess the impact of the pandemic on the industry and suggest suitable taxation and financing measures in order to encourage the growth of the industry.
Muammed also explained that the committee will be required to advise the Government on appropriate measures necessary to support the industry.
The committee is to be led by Ali Baba as its Chairman and Anita Eboigbe of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) as Secretary.
Other members of the committee are Bolanle Austen Peters of Terra Kulture, film producer, Charles Novia, actor, Ali Jita, film director, Baba Agba, Kene Okwuosa of Film House Cinemas.
Other appointees include radio presenter, Daniel Aboki, Chioma Ude of Envivi, Olumade Adesemowo of FreeTV, singer, Dare Art Alade and Hajia Sa’a Ibrahim of the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria (BON).
