If Arsenal centre-back David Luiz is to return to Benfica, he will have to see his wage drop £38,000 a week, The Mirror reports.
The defender has confirmed he has spoken to the club’s president but Benfica have a wage cap of £32,000 per week – meaning he would have to more than halve his existing wage.
