Sallah: Alajagusi reaches out to constituents

The lawmaker representing Ilorin West/Asa at the House of Representatives in the 9th National Assembly has distributed foods items and gift to member of his constituency as succour to help cushion the effect of Covid-19 pandemic currently plaguing the country.
The lawmaker’s gestures were carried out on Wednesday and Thursday in his constituency office at Adewole, Ilorin and Asa respectively.
His PRO, Alhaji Kamaldeen Saka who handled the distribution of the times in Ilorin saluted Alajagusi’s gesture during this time of the biting pandemic adding that it show his action demonstrate his passion and concern for the people of his constitute.
But according to Alajagusi, the distribution of the items which he said runs into millions of naira was in commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and to support the people to have a worthwhile festivity during the period of this biting pandemic.
He said, “We’re aware of the biting economic situation which has been worsened by the lockdown in the government effort to stop the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are doing this to support the less privilege and the most vulnerable members of the society who are in dear need of such support in continuation of our efforts to continually reach out to the people support to the people.
“The package is on time as many don’t know how Sallah will be celebrated due to the economic impact of the Global pandemic, COVID-19.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude on what they regarded as surprise gesture from the honourable and prayed for his sound health.
Ayinde Alowole who spoke on behalf of them said they were very happy for the gesture of Alajagusi and further prayed God to grant him the wherewithal and health to continue to do more for his people.
