NFF to convince 17-yrs Texas born defender to play for Nigeria

The emergence of Nigeria descent players in Europe is a good innovation for the Nigeria Football Federation NFF because it helps to build a formidable Super Eagles squad.
Meanwhile, the problem faced by the football governing body in the country is convincing these youngsters to play for Nigeria ahead of the European countries where they grew up.
One of the emerging Nigeria descent youngsters in Europe is the Texas-born Salzburg defender, Bryan Ikemefuna Okoh who grew up in Switzerland and was given birth to by Nigerian parents.
Although the left-footed defender who is a strong and rigid center-back has played for the Switzerland U15 and U16 national, he is still eligible to play for Nigeria.
Bryan who scored the equalizer as Salzburg qualify for the semifinal of the UEFA Youth League following a 4-3 win over Salzburg, is a ball-playing defender who is also a threat from aerial balls.
Except for the qualities mentioned above, the 17-year-old is a commanding center-back who is good at reading the game and making timeless tackles to win possession for his team when they lose it.
Despite still 17, the Salzburg youngster has shown confidence and bravery to lead the team defensively.
With all these qualities at such a young age, it is believed that the youngster has done enough to attract the attention of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF and Gernot Rohr.
