We urged the Governor to sign and implement the minimum wage without further delay.
“The council further demand the addition of 20 percent on the agreed table of minimum wage to restore the eroded table of the old table taking away by the hike price of fuel and devaluation by the government.
According to the statement the Governor shouldn’t be adamant on the issue of workers welfare and the approval for the 2020 promotion exercise. We’re also appealing to you to expedite action on the promotion of local government employees, SUBEB and Teaching Service Commission in the state.
The statement however condemned the recent hike in electricity bills which is compounding more suffering on Nigerians.
