Stephen Odey’s debut goal seals all 3 points for Amiens

Nigerian international, Stephen Odey was the match hero for French Ligue 2 side Amiens as they ended a run of seven games without a win to beat Grenoble 1-0 on matchday 7.
Without just one win in their opening six league games, the pressure was mounting on head coach Oswald Tanchot as he handed yet another start to former MFM striker Stephen Odey who was hoping to end a run of four games without a goal.
But despite a dominant first 45 minutes, the hosts failed to find the breakthrough with Odey particularly left frustrated up front as he found chances limited with little or no supply.
The 22-year-old however broke the deadlock four minutes after the hour mark when he benefited from a pass from Nicholas Opoku to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
The Nigerian was then withdrawn with 13 minutes left on the clock as Amiens picked just their second win of the campaign to move out of the relegation zone.
