COVID-19: Kwara Health Tech well prepared for resumption – Provost

The Provost of Kwara State College of Health Technology Offa, Dr Abdulrauf Aliyu Alabi has stated that the institution is well prepared for resumption of academic activities.
He stated this while fielding questions from our reporter on the level of preparedness for resumption.
He added that the management has adhered strictly to COVID-19 safety protocols to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
The Provost then charged the COVID-19 committee of the College to ensure compliance of the safety measures by staff and students.
He acknowledged support of Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology by mobilizing the state tertiary institutions for high preparedness for resumption and academic activities, describing her as a good team player with high spirit of patriotism.
On his part, the Registrar, Mallam Salman Ayinde Jimoh who doubles as the Chairman, College committee on COVID-19 said, “We have been working assiduously in the last few weeks to see that the College is well positioned for resumption and academic activities with presence of COVID-19 precautionary measures at strategic locations within the college campus.
“We have made available a conducive atmosphere for our students’ resumption ranging from good accommodation, pipe borne water, infrared thermometers, face masks, sanitizers with other measures as instructed by the National Centre for Disease and Control (NCDC) been provided.
He added that the College will setup an effective monitoring committee to ensure compliance by staff and students as well as the entire College Community.
The school Bursar, Mr. Ajani Abiola Joshua, assured the students that secured system is already in place to facilitate quick payment of school fees and other charges.
He advised students to key into the new innovations to reduce stress and enjoy easy payment.
“These new ideas are to ensure safety of both staff and students against Coronavirus while making payments and other transactions at the Bursar Department. All payments and transactions receipts must be collected by the payee,” the Bursar said.
