The Gwanara Emirate of Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State under the chairmanship of Emir of Gwanara, Alhaji Sabi Abdullahi Idris Kotokotogi at the weekend, attracted great personalities from all works of life during the turbaning the Clerk, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hajia Halimat Jummai Kperogi and other sons and daughters of the Emirate.
Kperogi was turbaned as the Yon Yeruma of Gwanara Emirate in respect of her meritorious and selfless services to the Emirate.
In her word โI appreciate the entire Emirate for honoring me with the title, I will not relent but continue to work harder and in tandem with other members of the Emirate to ensure peace and harmony and development of the Emirate and Baruten LGA at large.Commenting on the programme, the Chairman, House Committee on Education and Human Capital Development and member representing Okuta/Yashikira Constituency, KWHA, Hon. Mohammed Baba Salihu Boriya commended the Emirate for the good hospitality and described the newly Yon Yeruma as a versatile woman who will use her already acquired wisdom and knowledge to build the Emirate stronger.
Others turbaned are; Village Head of Gbanaguru, Mall. Umar Sabi, Magajin Garin Gwanara, Alh. Ahmed Aliyu Oyoru, Sarkin Fulani, Mall. Abubakar Abdullahi, The Woru Kenu Wonkuru, mall. Mohammed Saidu Bani Goba, Mokaragi, Abibat Dark and the Yon Teens of Gwanara, Marian Yonkene.
Personalities in attendance include, the Speaker, KWHA, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, Honorable Members of the House, Commissioner for Energy and Chiroma of Yashikira, Hon. (Dr.) Aliyu Sabi Kora Lafia among others.
