Monarchs to Kwarans: Bury differences, unite for devt

A prominent traditional ruler in Kwara North senatorial district, Alh Sabi ldris has called on Nigerians regardless of their background to bury their differences in order to have a more fruitful and prosperous year than the previous ones.
ldris who is the Emir of Gwanara in Baruten Local Government Area of the state made this known in while speaking on the new year.
According to the monarch, the people of the country should turn a new leaf toward changing their mindset to achieve positive things this year so as to better the lots of the masses and country in general.
Also, the chairman, Oke-Ero traditional council and Aloffa of Iloffa, Oba Samuel Niyi Dada urged Nigerians to always appreciate God for making them to witness the New Year and continue to be their brother’s keeper which will help facilitate more development.
In his view, the Oludofian of ldofian in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Oba Zubaru Agbo-Ola Oyesoro appealed to wealthy individuals and those at the corridors of power across the country to be more proactive to the yearnings and aspirations of their people to turn around their fortunes in the current year.
In his message, the Eleju of lgbonla, Irepodun Local Government Area, Oba Abdulfatah Olabode Jimoh implored the three tiers of government to implement new programmes and policies that would have direct impact on the citizens and enable them cushion the effect of the hardship for them to have a resourceful year.
Jimoh however warned the people to shun acts that would be detrimental to the growth and development of the society rather look inward on how best they could put in their best for the overall upliftment of the state.
