The Kwara State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Youths Alliance, under the leadership of Hon. Kale Oba Aluko has demanded for the immediate retrieval of an ash coloured Toyota 4-Runner Jeep and other vehicular properties belonging to the state chapter of the party.
The group said the properties are still illegally in custody of the former chairman of the party, Iyiola Oyedepo and others erstwhile party chieftains who defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The General Secretary of Alliance, Comr. Muhammad Nurudeen Muhammad in a Press conference at the PDP Secretariat in Ilorin, explained that the party procured the vehicle in 2014 from a fundraising program for the use of office of state chairman in order to ease mobility and transportation within and outside the state while on party’s assignment.
He said since Oyedepo left the party in 2018, his leadership has not been accounted for till date and neither left behind any handover note that can guide his successor on the financial and asset strength of the party.
Comr. Muhammad said the group has filed petitions to the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, State Intelligence Bureau as well as office of DSS to use their offices in making sure the properties are returned to the PDP secretariat in no distance time but the action became imperative.
“We therefore demand immediate return of all vehicles particularly the 4-runner Jeep kept illegally in custody of Akogun Oyedepo to the PDP state secretariat, he said.
