As tertiary institutions in Kwara State resume another session, the Provost of Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Dr. Abdulrauf Aliyu Alabi has tasked staff and students on good conduct.
Speaking at the weekend, the Provost urged staff of the College to re-dedicate themselves to service of mankind by contributing their quota to the upliftment of the institution.
He said, “We shall continue to provide enabling environment for teaching and learning, encouraging our knowledge impactors to go the extra mile and students must take advantage of this by studying very hard in face of daunting challenges, COVID-19 Pandemic.”
He noted that safety measures have been put in place and must be observed by all and sundry in and around the college community.
Speaking further, Alabi said, “We must shore up for the lag in our education schedule for this year, knowing-full well that we have spent some time at home. Lateness, lawlessness, absenteeism, laziness, indolence and other vices that are capable of distracting us from achieving our ultimate goals must be shunned totally.”
While assuring of his resoluteness in the task ahead of him and to continue to lead by example, he solicited cooperation, support and understanding of everyone to make year 2021 a resounding success in the history of the College.
He, however, appreciated his deputies, the registrar and secretary to the governing council- Mallam Salman Ayinde Jimoh, Ajani Abiola Joshua, the bursar, staff and students for keeping the flag of patriotism and excellence flying higher at all times.
He thanked the media consultant, Mr. Ayantunde Ayangbayi, JP, for handling the media brief of the College professionally and dispassionately in year 2020 and promised to continue to support him.
Finally, the provost promised to at all times adhere strictly to the guidelines of Kwara State Government Education reform, under the wise guidance of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, assuring, “the college is well positioned to deliver on its mandate,” Dr. Abdulrauf Aliyu Alabi added.
