Aides of late Funke Adedoyin, a former member of the House of Representatives have debunked the claim that the deceased diverted constituency project.
The late Adedoyin represented Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin and Oke- Ero federal constituency.
This was contained in a statement signed by Sholyments Olusegun Olusola and Abiodun Segun Ege, for Funke Adedoyin Legacy Frontiers, titled: “Re: ENetSuD, Ajulo-Opin, Petition ICPC on Missing Tractor.”
The statement reads this:
“Our attention has been drawn to a misleading information being circulated on social media by the Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD) in collaboration with Hon. AbdulRaheem Tunji Olawuyi (Ajulo-Opin), the House-of-Rep member who succeeded late Honorable Princess Funke Adedoyin in office, wherein the former claimed a Tractor worth N18,552,135, which was facilitated by the late Princess and awarded to one Tamgaj Service Limited was diverted while the late Agbamu born female politician held sway.
“This claim is misleading, totally mischievous and an attempt by the purveyors, especially the present occupier of the constituency office, whom we believe should know better to smear the good name of Princess Funke Adedoyin who’s now of blessed memory and her aides for political gain .
“For the purpose of clarity, we like to state that truly , the late Honorable used her office to facilitate numerous developmental projects in key sectors such as Road, Agriculture, Health , SME, Water, ICT and host of others into the constituency.
“All projects facilitated and executed were not only duly delivered for the use of people of our Constituency but those projects were thoroughly monitored and supervised to ensure contractors delivered qualities that meet people’s expectations .
“It’s on this bases that we want to state that we are not aware of delivery of any Tractor to the Constituency office as claimed by ENetSuD and Honorable Abdulraheed Tunji Olawuyi in their report . Also, the claim by SMEDAN and it’s contractor contained in ENetSuD report, that a Tractor was delivered to the Constituency Office of Princess Funke Adedoyin is false, spurious and totally mischievous as neither ENetSuD nor Honorable Ajulo-Opin has approached any Aides of the late Princess for clarification before publishing their reports online .
“We challenge SMEDAN and it’s contractor , Tamgaj Service Ltd if the claims by ENetSuD is anything to hold to come forward and explain to the public the exact date ,where was this imaginary Tractor delivered and which of the Constituency officials recieved the consignment .
“Honourable Funke Adedoyin of blessed memory discharged her duties as a Rep member representing Irepodun, Ekiti, Isin and Oke Ero Federal Constituency with integrity and fear of God. Her time as Honorable member witnessed sporadic infrastructural facelifts including construction of Olomu Road in Omu-Aran, Ekan-Imoji Erinmope boundary road in Oke Ero LG, Construction of Maternity Centre in Oke-Opin, motorised Boreholes in Oba Isin and the facilitation of Ajase ipo-Omuaran-Egbe road project among other notable legacy, hence , no amount of smear campaign by political adversaries can turn the hands of clock .
“To this end, Princess Funke Adedoyin Constituency office sincerely welcomes ICPC or any probe on the said Tractor and or any of it’s activities as we have nothing to hide or bother about other than our integrity and the general good of the constituency we have worked so hard to serve.”
