KWSG reiterates commitment to education

 

The Kwara State Government has again reiterated its commitment to ensuring that every child of school age has access to qualitative and free education in the state.
The Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Mrs Fatimoh Bisola Ahmed made the disclosure during her maiden official monitoring/inspection of schools at Alanamu Central LGEA Primary School, Ita Elefun area, Ilorin, last week.
According to her, the visit was to ascertain the level of deterioration of infrastructure in the school and report back to the Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for necessary actions.
She however assured Ita Elefun community and management of the Alanamu Central LGEA schools of urgent action by the present administration.
Mrs Ahmed also advised the teaching and non-teaching staff to always be punctual and take their profession seriously in order to produce competent leaders for the country in the nearest future.
Earlier, the representative of the community, Alhaji Ali Moshood commended Governor Abdulrazaq for his landmark achievements in education within just few months of inception.
He therefore appealed to the Governor to come to their aid as the structures in the school are on the verge of collapse.
Also speaking the assistant headmaster, Mr. Musa Babatunde Lukman, appreciated the Commissioner for making their school the first point to visit on her first day in office.
Among the entourage of the Commissioner were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Maryam Garuba, the Director School Services and the Press Secretary among others.
