The Acting General Manager of Kwara State Rural Electricity Board, Mr. Muazu Shaaba has assured that the Board is committed to attainment of its plans and objectives for year 2021.
Speaking to staff of the agency at a meeting held at the board’s Conference room recently, he said, “I’m stoically committed to attainment of our objectives and action plan as a Board this year 2021, the general public must feel more of our impact, lighting up our rural areas in the state remains sacrosanct.”
Shaaba charged staff to redouble efforts in their official duties and professional callings, saying, “let us justify our work in public service by being punctual, hardworking, shun indolence, lateness, laziness, backbiting and other social vices.”
He promised to operate an open door policy that will ensure accountability, two- way communication channels that encourages feedback in the system, while assuring staff of an enabling environment that makes their work more efficient and effective.
“The APC- led administration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq expects much from us, as a platform for providing electricity and support services to our rural areas, we must not fail in delivering on our mandate.”
The Acting General Manager, thanked the agency’s coordinating ministry, Office of the Secretary to the State Government and Head of Service respectively for support and commitment always, he promised that in year 2021, the Board would reach out to its target audience with different proposals that will make life more bearable to them and improve their economic wellbeing.
