APC leadership crisis good for Kwara – ACPN presidential candidate

The National Chairman of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima has explained why he decided to pitch tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state despite the leadership crisis rocking the party.
Galadima who spoke in Ilorin last week shortly after his registration as a member of APC at Fagba polling unit, Ilorin West Local Government, said he joined the APC because his former party was deregistered and his perception of the present government at both state and federal levels.
According to him “I join APC because APC led Federal Government in at last 6 years is doing well. Same thing in less than two years in Kwara State. It depends on the perspective of individuals but if you take a sectoral perspective, the party at national level has been able to impact on the lives of the people.
“One great policy of this administration is the universal health coverage for all that guarantees healthcare system for all Nigerians especially at the grassroots levels. Now the Federal Government recognizes the clinics in all the wards of the federation whereby people can register to get free healthcare service.
“So, as a result of that I’m taking a bold decision today to join the APC and I’m not the only person joining the party but with members in Kwara State and all over the country and we hope that due recognition will be accorded to our people and we will be welcomed in the party”.
Galadima who is the Presidential Candidate of ACPN in the last general elections, described the crisis rocking Kwara APC as part of democracy.
“You cannot rule out crisis in a political party. It is democratic to have people with different opinions coming together. Let me tell that the crisis is even good for the state.
You know what they called conspiracy of political class? If we have such a conspiracy, the people are finished. It is the people that will bear brunt.
“Now there is no conspiracy. I’m happy to join the party now. What I just want to appeal to people is for them to refuse to be cowed by the blackmailing of the Governor by the warring factions in the APC”, he added.
