Simeon Nwankwo struck twice but it was not enough to prevent Crotone losing 3-2 away to Lazio, in Friday’s Serie A tie.
Nwankwo has now scored in three straight games and has five goals in his last three games.
He has 12 goals in 27 Serie A appearances so far in the on-going campaign.
The 28-year-old scored in the 29th minute to make it 1-1 and got on the score sheet again in the 50th minute from the penalty spot to bring score to 2-2.
Crotone have won just one of their last five league games (four defeats) and remain bottom on 15 points in the league table.
