11th Convocation: Rector, Bartholomew College, urges graduands to remain focused

The Rector, Bartholomew College of Health Technology, Shao, Moro Local
Government Area of Kwara State, Dr. Bartholomew Owoicho has charged
the graduating students to remain focused and be good ambassadors of
the school as they step into a new world.
Owoicho made this known during the 11th Convocation and Award of
Certificates Ceremony held on Saturday at the institution’s
Convocation Arena.
The Rector stated that with the training, practical sessions and field
works they have gone through during their stay at the college will see
them through in their professional calling. “I want to assure you that
you have nothing to fear about being on your own to practice your
profession as you have the necessary pre-requisite to function as
qualified health personnel,” Owoicho said.
He congratulated the graduating students, their parents, well-wishers,
staff and management of the college, just as he acknowledged the
contribution and support of the host community, the traditional ruler
of Shao and its environs for providing conducive environment for the
college to thrive.
Similarly, he admonished other students to be dedicated to their
studies in order to achieve success in their studies.
In his remarks, Dr. Musa Oladimeji Dasuki, Permanent Secretary,
Ministry of Tertiary Education Science and Technology, who represented
Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq said, “ The
education industry is on the current legislative list of this
administration, hence; Kwara State Government will continue to promote
an enabling environment for the approval and establishment of Private
Tertiary Health institutions in the state.
“Also, the ministry will continue to monitor the institutions to
ensure that they maintain high standard in terms of quality training
both in character and learning.”
Dr. Dasuki charged the leadership of the college not to compromise
standards, maintain high discipline and give credence to their
certificate such that their graduates can compete favourably with
their contemporaries worldwide.
