
Kwara State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has disassociate itself from purported anti-Buhari prayer gathering in Ilorin by an online content tagged “Saraki applied for security to attend the prayer session.
The party while describing those behind the fictitious platfrom as mere propagandists and agents of a ” one chance Governor” who hide under an unknown platform to disparaging lies and falsehood against the person of His Excellency Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the Kwara PDP.
The party in a statement signed by the party spokesman and made available to journalists in Ilorin, Tunde Ashaolu said the peddler, exhibited his poor sense of strategy when the headline and the content of the article failed to agree.
While the headline had claimed Saraki applied for Security to attend Anti-Buhari Prayer Session in Ilorin , the content was talking of PDP and top Aides of Saraki as those that had applied for the said security clearance.
“We would like the public to ignore the cooked up lies meant to incite and misinform the good people of Kwara State”
The statement stated that “ His Excellency, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki as a statesman and as a true Democrat would never descend so low to sponsor such against any individual no matter how highly placed, when he has been advocating for massive enrolment of voters to enable Nigerians exercise thier lawful process of changing goverment if they so desire.
He therefore, charged members of the public to discountenance such insinuations coming from the unfounded faceless individuals.
He pointed out that this was a form of distraction and plot by the present “one chance Governor” who has lost all the Goodwill from kwarans owing to abysmal failure and high-level of corruption and insensitivity.
The statement furthermore implored all the relevant security agencies to investigate those behind this inciting story on a fake platform and urgently bring them to book.
