The former APC stalwart, Hon Kamardeen Kadir who has defected to PDP has said that Kwarans should be proud to have Saraki as a leader in the state.
Hon Kadir who explained this in an exclusive interview with National Pilot said that Saraki is a team player, and he has demonstrated that.
According to him, “I admire brilliant and intelligent people, and Saraki is a brilliant and intelligent leader. A leader that can identified another leader to build leader. A leader that can identified a leader that can build future leaders, that is Bukola Saraki. Anybody who has this quality is a true leader.”
He stated that, different people have said different negative things about him, “all kind of things has been said about him negatively.
“I have met him on different occasions and discovered that people are just spoiling him. If people said something about a person, try and meet the person to know the kind of person he or she is. That was what I did with Saraki.”
While speaking on why he joined PDP, Hon Kadir said things are not normal in APC, “things are not right in the party, some due process was not followed. Some people who left the party felt things were manipulated. I, personally, felt the party is not ok, and I left.
“I do my research very well before I chose PDP as my party. I weigh my options and I think PDP is the only party.
“If you want to become a champion, you will join the winning team. I decided to join the party that can deliver. I would not leave party in power and go and join an opposition party if I don’t believe in the party.”
“I am set to join hands with PDP, work hard with the party and join forces with the PDP to make it a ruling party both in state and at the Federal.”
He explained further that,” to achieve this, I have called back the aggrieved members in my community, Oro, to join PDP, and they are ready to join. I also brought back unity and peace in the party for us to achieve our aim at both state and Federal level.”
